Cardigan
Welsh Club
The Cardigan Welsh Club holds an annual
hog roast at the Welsh Museum in Oak Hill
and also meets throughout the year. Members
are mainly from Gallia and Jackson County
with a few members from outside those two

Oak Hill
Festival of Flags Organization
The Oak
Hill Festival of Flags was organized in 2000
to encourage residents of the Oak Hill area
to display the flag, promote the Village of
Oak Hill, and provide family entertainment
for the Memorial Day Weekend. The Festival
of Flags Committee meets the second Monday
of every month at the Imogene Brunton Davis
Memorial Building in Oak Hill. For more

Friends of
Lake Jackson
The Friends
of Lake Jackson organization was organized
in 2005 to raise funds and help direct the
State of Ohio in maintaining Lake Jackson.
Friends of Lake Jackson meet the first

Davis Memorial Building in Oak Hill. For

Portland Masonic Lodge #366.
The Portland Masonic Lodge of Oak Hill
(Portland #366) was first chartered in 1866
by the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted
Masons of Ohio. As a fraternal organization,
Freemasonry unites men of good character
who, though of different religious, ethnic,
or social backgrounds, share a belief in the
fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of
mankind. Its teachings and ceremonies seek
to make good men better and thereby make the
world a better place in which to live.

of the Eastern Star is the world’s largest

261 was organized on November 13, 1919 was
named after two of the town’s young men who
