In order for the community and its business environment to progress and prosper, the community needs leadership and inspiration from members of the community and its businesses. Chamber members benefit from the collective action of all chamber members.

About the Oak Hill Chamber of Commerce

The Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer, non-profit 501 (c)(6) organization. The Chamber's mission is to support economic and community development through the united efforts of business and local citizens pursuing a common goal to promote the Oak Hill area as a great place to live.

The Oak Hill Chamber of Commerce works in collaboration with many other organizations and local government to promote our community as a great place to live. The Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce is funded by over 100 members and driven by effective leadership. Our organization offers programs and services that support our members, and in turn, support the community.


Kurtis Strickland serves as President of the Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Strickland received a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University in 1999 with a specialization in Geography and an emphasis in Urban and Regional Planning. Since 1999 Mr. Strickland has worked for the Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) as a Field Agent where he works with villages, cities, counties, and water and sewer districts to complete water and wastewater projects.

Bruce Barkhurst serves as Vice-President of the Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Barkhurst is the partner of SAF-T-TRAIN, a business that provides safety training in southern Ohio. Mr. Barkhurst received a Bachelor of Arts from Circleville Bible College in 1978 and a Masters of Education from Ashland University in 1988. Mr. Barkhurst spent nearly 30 years in the education field before moving back to Oak Hill in 2009.

Sandy Borden serves as the secretary of the Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Borden graduated from Notre Dame High School and has multiple certifications for Cooper Fitness in Dallas Texas YMCA programs. She has been a Physical Director for the Portsmouth YMCA, instructor for Shawnee State College and SOMC. Fundraising Development Coordinator for Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, Ohio and now serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Jenkins Care Community.

David Cisco serves as Treasurer of the Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Cisco holds degrees in both Business Management and Accounting. With twenty eight years of banking experience, David has an extensive background in Commercial Real Estate and Commercial and Industrial Lending as well as experience in many aspects of the finance
industry. Mr. Cisco currently holds the position on Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending Officer for Wesbanco Bank Inc. located in Jackson, Ohio. Mr. Cisco has resided in Oak Hill with his family for the past nineteen years.
